Theatre Personnel

  • Glenda Gregory has been part of the Mabank High School staff for 18 years. During her tenure at Mabank, she has taught speech, debate, and theatre, coached UIL Speaking and Debate events, directed the One Act Play and fall production, and was the drill team Director for seven years. Currently Ms. Gregory teaches theatre classes, coaches UIL Prose and Poetry Interpretation, directs the UIL One Act Play and fall musical, and helps make sure events in the auditorium run smoothly.

Ms. Gregory is from Duncanville, Texas. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a BS in Education and a minor in Theatre with an added endorsement for Speech. She has taught at every grade level at both public and private schools. She was also the Director of Fine Arts for the Children’s Ministry at Irving Bible Church. She has three children, Aubry, Eric, and Jordan who all graduated from Mabank High School. She is very proud of her children and loves spending time with them.

"I teach and direct theatre because there isn't an area of life that theatre training doesn't improve your skills for. Watching students learn to think on their feet, communicate more effectively, and express themselves in new ways is a gift my job at MHS allows me to unwrap every day."

  • Hannah Williams is a second year teacher who is proud to say she has only ever taught at Mabank Junior High School.  She attended Northwestern State University and the Louisiana Scholars’ College in Natchitoches, Louisiana where she received a BS in Theatre with a concentration in Musical Theatre Performance and a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Fine and Performing Arts. During her time at Northwestern State, she was involved in at least 15 theatrical productions (either performing or working offstage) and was a member of NSU’s Chamber Choir.  She was also a member of NSU’s Out on a Limb Improv Troupe.  Ms. Williams is a Baton Rouge native and has been acting, singing, playing piano, and dancing for many years.

Ms. Williams is the director of the Junior High UIL One Act Play, hosts a weekly improv group "Improv Yourself," and assists with productions at MHS.
